Welome to the Taylor Family Website!

hi and welcome to our website. We decided to create a website so that we could post pictures and updates of our lives for our long-distance friends and family.

If you don't know us, here is a short synopsys... We live in San Jose, California. Our family began with Tim and Niki, who met in January 1999. After a few years of dating and then living together, we decided to take the next step, and were married in a small ceremony on October 21, 2003 in Jamaica, West Indies.

Just prior to our wedding, on September 8, 2003, we adopted our first child, Hailey, a fox-red labrador retreiver. She was 8 weeks old when she became a member of our family. We spent the next year on her training. She learned the general stuff like sit, down, stay, heel, that the potty is outside, not the area rug in the living room and that Mommy’s shoes are not cookies. She is super smart and learned everything quickly, execpt that Mommy’s shoe are not cookies. She still hasn’t figured that one out.

On our 1st wedding anniversary, we found out that Niki was 6 weeks pregnant!! Yeah!!! We were so excited to become parents. This was something we’d been hoping for since we got married. So, the next 8 months was filled with lots of emotional ups and downs, racing to get everything in the house ready for the baby and trying to enjoy every last minute of life before baby, since all the advice said that life will never be the same. Well that advice was right. Kerstin Brooke Taylor made her debut on June 17, 2005 (two weeks early) weighing 7 lbs. 4 oz and measuring 19.5 in., and life is definitely not the same. We are spending as much time together as a family as possible, and are learning that sleep deprived, coffee injected life, aka, life after baby, is absolutely amazing.
